How Isla works
Isla’s visual record allows clinicians and patients to capture, store and share a rich library of images and videos. The platform allows secure transfer of these images and videos in line with NHS guidelines. Images and videos can be seen immediately and sequentially to allow clinicians to assess how patients’ conditions are changing over time.
Isla is working across a range of specialties including Tissue Viability, Podiatry, Stroke, Speech and Language, Therapies, Neurology and Sexual Health.

Our features and functionality

Forms
Isla supports the use of structured forms to collect patient data and responses. The forms may be requested from patients via texts or emails, and may be stand-alone or accompany images or videos. Clinical users may request multiple forms at a time, or may fill forms in on behalf of their patients.

Videos
Isla converts submitted videos to an optimised format to render back to reviewers with minimum buffering on browser. Further, videos can be played back in fast forward or slow motion to allow clinical users to work as efficiently as possible. Videos may be accompanied by forms, and may be taken live or pre-taken and uploaded as existing files. Isla supports a maximum size of 500MB per file.

Photos
Isla supports photo submissions which can be used across a range of applications:
- Patient submitted photos
- Clinician submitted photos
- Clinical photographer uploaded photos
Isla converts submitted photos to an optimised format to render back to reviewers efficiently on browsers. Further, photos can be edited (cropped, rotated etc.) and annotated to add notes and labels onto images when required.
